Quadball (formerly Quidditch) is a modern, mixed-gender full-contact sport that combines elements of rugby, handball and dodgeball. The result is a dynamic, tactically demanding team sport that requires speed, game awareness and teamwork in equal measure.<\/p>

What makes Quadball special is that four balls are in play at the same time. This means that several situations unfold simultaneously: while one team is trying to score, other players are competing for control of the dodgeballs, while at the same time, players are preparing to catch the flag. As a result, every match is varied and requires constant communication and quick tactical decisions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

A central feature of the sport is its inclusivity. Quadball is played in mixed-gender teams to enable everyone to participate in competitive sports on an equal footing, regardless of gender. Different skills and playing styles complement each other on the field, making teamwork all the more important.<\/p>

The sport originated in the Harry Potter books. Since then, however, it has developed into an independent sport in its own right. Today, Quadball is played around the world and continues to evolve: national leagues, international tournaments and even World Cups are held.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

  • A keeper zone in front of the hoops and a midline divide the playing field<\/li>
  • Seven players per team are on the field at the same time<\/li>
  • All players keep a plastic stick between their legs throughout the entire game<\/li>
  • Four balls are in play at the same time

    • 1 Volleyball (Quaffel)<\/strong> used to score goals<\/p><\/li>

    • 3 Dodgeballs (Bludger)<\/strong> used to knock out opposing players<\/p><\/li><\/ul><\/li>
