It all started in 2016 with the desire to stream the local league games of our quidditch team Ruhr Phoenix in Bochum, Germany. Back then we didn’t have a fancy setup but only a phone to stream. We quickly realized that the quality of such a stream could be way higher. So we looked around what the possibilites for us were and after extensive research expanded our repertoire in terms of hardware and software. The next steps were regional and national tournaments in Germany. But the national boundary shouldn’t be the end as Ruhr Phoenix TV was engaged to produce the livestream for the European Quidditch Cup 2018 and later that year even the IQA Quidditch World Cup 2018 in Florence, Italy.
