Coaches
Meike Hinz #98
Chancer since 2016 & Trainer since 2025
- What I love about Quadball: That the different positions make it a very tactical sport
- Why I’m a coach: So that I think more about what we do in terms of our overall game plan, and also because Tim greets me with “Hello, boss”:)
- Outside of Quadball: I’m basically always busy and fully booked, but I still try to squeeze in something to do whenever there’s an opportunity.
Johannes Dinser #87
Chaser since 2022 & Trainer since 2025
- What I love about Quadball: I think it’s great that this sport is varied and gender-inclusive, which means it never gets boring and the atmosphere is really pleasant.
- Why I’m a coach: Because I’d like to pass on the enjoyment I get from playing myself, and I also want to do my part to make sure Phoenix stays successful in the long run.
- Outside of Quadball: I’m often out and about with friends, I’m up for all sorts of things, and I can definitely be bribed with a good portion of fries
Paul Fander #22
Beater since 2016 & Trainer since 2017
- What I love about Quadball: That you can conquer the world (athletically) with your friends. In such a young sport, there’s a huge learning curve and plenty of opportunities to do pioneering work when it comes to tactics, ideas and playing philosophies.
- Why I’m a coach: To drive the sporting development of a community forward through hard work, commitment and passion. There’s no better source of dopamine that lasts longer!
- Outside of Quadball: Ich habe ein Repertoire von genau 3 Liedern auswendig gelernt (City of Stars, Over the Rainbow, Dein ist mein ganzes Herz) mit denen ich meine Mitmenschen regelmäßig beglücke
